quarantineDuring the quarantine there are many people who are finding it difficult to keep up their appearance. Many salons and barbershops are closed so there is no way for someone to get their hair styled by professionals. There are things that you can do to try to make it easier to maintain your hair during a quarantine though.

Create a Deep Conditioning Mask

In order for your hair to stay as healthy as possible, you need to keep it well conditioned. Since you cannot go into the salon to have a deep conditioning treatment done, consider creating a deep conditioning mask to put on your hair at home. Add three tablespoons of melted coconut oil and a tablespoon of honey to a mashed banana. Mix everything together thoroughly and apply it to dry hair. Allow the mixture to sit on the hair for thirty minutes to an hour and then wash your hair as usual. This should help to fortify your hair with the vitamins and minerals it needs to stay strong and nourished.

Use Natural Ingredients to Die Gray Roots Darker

When you dye your hair a dark color, it can become very obvious when your roots start to show. Many people are very embarrassed by gray roots. Fortunately, you can easily stain your roots to make them appear darker and make the gray hair less noticeable. All you need to do is make a pot of extremely strong coffee. Let the coffee cool fully and then pour it onto your root massaging it into your scalp the whole time. Leave the coffee in place for roughly thirty minutes and then rinse your hair. You need to repeat the process twice a week for the best results.

Protect Your Hair with a Natural Heat Protector

Protecting your hair from heat damage is important. When stores limit their hours or availability becomes scarce, you can make a heat protector at home. Get a spray bottle and add it a third of the way full with distilled water. Add in three tablespoons of your favorite hair conditioner, a tablespoon of grapeseed oil, and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Mix the ingredients together and spray onto your hair liberally before you plan to style it with heat to create ample protection from potential damage.
